magneto is a bulky 4/4 kicker which is built around stuttering vocals and shadowy synth waves. morbius is the dub figure on the ep, stripped back of any fuss, this track lets the bass do the talking. mystique on the b side is a real acidic mover, this one is all about the melody with as much funk in it as it has pace. jeroen search steps up for remix duties and delivers his interpretation of mystique, this mix retains the originals groove but adds a cold hypnotic melody across the middle.

for this second release the new parisian label street knowledge choose to produce two young native italians djs. peter jd and francys met in a small city in the south of italy, both evolving on the music scene since they are 14. peter is bringing the detroit house music touch whereas francys the 80s 90s music sound. from this collaboration is born the connection ep. where two different worlds find each other in a common space, connection ep brings different ideas of sound at the same time, by one side following a dry techno line with pumping drums and solid grooves, by the other side warmer and deeper, crossing hypnotic detroit flavored synths, chicago house, organic elements and chromatic female vocals. to make this release totally international jenifa mayanja from connecticut and the greek quell are delivering two remixes that should make a bomb effect on all the dance floors.

brilliant pumpin dark / hypnotic techno.... four killer tracks on blue vinyl

2016 repress.... two stalwarts of amsterdams techno & house underground scene. julien chaptal and david labeij, decided to link arms at the beginning of 2012 with the creation of their vinyl only label, mfd.aiming to bring their blend of electronica back to a stripped-down, powerful, and hypnotic groove. mfds back-to-basics approach was born out of the infallible conviction that dance music in its purest form can effectively reduce ones insides to a bundle of raw nerves, and induce a state of pure bliss. wether it be hypnotic, gritty or intense electronic music, the label focuses on explicit quality, keeping egos in check, and never allowing them to get in the way of a good time.

some proper quality house music on the 3rd and final part in the golden age trilogy by giles and martin aka the two armadillos. think larry heard, norm talley, delano smith and the likes! the a side once again is club track with a modulating, moody heavy, heavy bassline and lots of atmosphere. definitely one for big rooms but for deeper 5am moments with its strings and fluttering hypnotic keys. this has been going down a treat in both giles and martins dj sets for some time. >detroit dancer< has a jazzy scat drum programming, keys, plenty of atmosphere and sparkling synth solos. last up the downtempo musical and downright lazy vibes of >majestic< with its stand up bass, strings and keys play out and signal the final track of the trilogy of releases.

nice price deal !!! sects third and final sampler for the >its all for you< compilation ends on a bittersweet note, seeing the last release from sect favourite grovskopa, who has decided to retire following the closest of near death experiences. the a-side features lags remix of his sect classic >atopic<, reworking the lurching bass and broken-beat rhythms of the original into a hypnotic number with a fractured synth melody. the b-side sees >62:02<, a brittle yet powerful track with churning bass which recalls drexciyas classically hard edged approach, combined with hazy orchestral sweeps - a fitting swansong for a great producer.

nice price deal !!! prime numbers welcomes newcomer nick sinna for release number 13 on the imprint. hailing from manchester and long time friend of label boss trusme, nick has been best known for his deep, melodic dj sets. showcasing his hypnotic style, as well as a broad spectrum of influences, this 4 track ep is a heavy hitter from start to finish. jumping into it with a nod to the past, >voyager< will have you traversing down a boundless wormhole with its acidy groove. big room sirens and lumbering snaps drive through the eps b side on >kick the habit<. on record two, nick shows us his softer side with blissed out 9 am anthem >momentary<, while >real time< completes the ep on a dark and entrancing note.

berlin based serialism records returns with yet another 12inch addition to their collection. this time onirik (a.k.a federico benedetti), the label manager, steps forward with what will be his debut ep, after a fleeting appearance on last years london cuts vol. ii compilation. broken ep fully embodies the dreamy and trippy atmosphere of oniiks musical sphere, based around hypnotic raw grooves with a touch of old school. the 12inch features a collaboration with label boss cesare vs disorder and a remix from hold youth wonderboy le loup.

the mysterious artist abdulla found his home base on prologue and we are very happy about this. abdullas hypnotic touch fits exactly into the philosophy we live and love. his debut vinyl release weldiya reflects the compelling sound therapy for electronic music enthusiast prescribed by prologue. starting smooth to adjust, abdulla enters the realm of acid driven entrancing beats and closes with overwhelming sound carpets

first up is tabou for the people by sofrito specials featuring l barrabas which twitch edited for his dj sets a couple of years back. the lovely people at sofrito kindly gave permission for it to be included on this release. its a relentlessly driving slab of 4/4 afro funk with horn explosions. next up is the 10th and final track in twitchs cumbia series. the first 8 were released on japans lets get lost label and the missing number 9 is being saved for a future release. colombias cumbia was born out of african influences. this track is based around a sample from colombian cumbia legend andres landero and is an attempt to fuse traditional cumbia sounds with up to date production styles. the end result is a slow motion hypnotic cumbia retaining the haunting melancholia inherent in the original sample. leading the aa side, twitch passed a wild highlife song by ghanas atakoru manu to glasgows super talented auntie flo (whose highly recommended future rhythm machine album recently saw a release) to play around with. auntie flo cut it up and added additional drums and bass to come up with this euphoric modern highlife groover

prplxs entitled fabric of space explores the deeper side of the breakbeat spectre. clever drum programming as well as going in a bass shakin direction, it reminds us of early bluenote & speed days but definitely with a modern touch. these tracks are another testament to prplxs love for the breakbeat. also included here is the roadtested taiga track which starts of deep and hypnotic but surprises you with the harsh amen drop, raw synth and dark male reggae vocal, do we hear a r.e.w.i.n.d.? the album will be released in two parts, the first one is a 250 handnumbered edition on 180 gram crystal clear vinyl (with special 75mm labelcopies and innersleeves) including free mp3 download codes and wrapped in a sealbag. all tracks have been mastered by stuart hawkes from metropolis london. support comes from all the usual suspects. on a first come, first served basis only

killer release on new yorks sequencias label. powerful and hypnotic chicago acid inspired cut on the a and a cool slow building chord driven track layered over raw drum rhythms on the b-side. recommended!! label promo text: sequencias does not stop, does not conform, takes no prisoners. our third release brings you a pair of artists from two different points along interstate 94, who have a reputation for the very same. so lets get to it. the main body laid down by villan x is tight metallic percussion underpinned by solid kicks and a stream of robotic filtered bass, containing unexpected shifts within the frequency register. foreboding tones and feelings drift towards us across which the disembodied voice of kold is able to find a platform from which to shudder into our consciousness and pose questions from across the galaxies about the nature of our very being. dcantu carries on the feelings of space, with protracted white noise shots and stabby modulated organ chords, but doesnt leave it long before setting the pace with solid drums and shifting keyboard funk aimed squarely your body and the dance floor as octave changes force you up and then down again to a backdrop thick with texture. this provides for the body and the mind. act fast though, sequencias does not like to rest.

with daughter & son on the b-side of the vinyl, the freiburg native presents a groovy, playful and impulsive sound that is guaranteed to let a summer feeling arise. set between classical techno and modern tech-house the title track daughter & son points consistently towards summer. patrick kunkel & dirk redmer refine their remix with a hypnotic bass line, but then let the track, with its dub elements and the choir parts, drift so incredibly beautiful into the sunrise, that one would wish for an infinite loop. the beach with its more playful harmony feeling and percussive gantry gives a first taste of the open-air season 2012.

highly recommended!unity is the first single taken from third sides forthcoming album unified fields, that will be released on restoration records in september 2012. third side is the project of the analogue cops and panorama bar resident steffi, their collaborations, which have been released exclusively on restoration, have been of the most interesting jams of the last years. the original unity, a fat overshadowing deep techno track, written and produced only with machines and recorded on tape, comes with 3 massive analogue remixes. the rework made by blawan (sheworks/hessle audio) smashes the parts of the composition with overbearing oldschool british manners and the result is a broken shuffled industrial hammering. on side b, steffis remix is relentless, rushing and carefully build:her attention for the processing of every detail transforms the original tune into an hypnotic breathtaking excursion. the last treatment is performed by the nightjars, an unidentified project that has brought down a particular attention for its debut ep on vae victis records. with a bossy employ of the most advanced analogue equipment, the nightjars slash an incendiary attack of warehouse garage.

we are very pleased to welcome bleak on deeply rooted house for his second release on the label, a pure techno 4 track ep and one of the strongest deeply rooted so far! dj deep:i have been very impressed with bleaks talent and how he can combine different styles of techno and still produce very personal music. each track, in my opinion, has a life of its own, it starts in a certain way, and takes you to different places. the arrangements are very subtle, sometimes hypnotic, very intense and emotional, the way the drums evolve and drive the tracks, or how deep chords apear in the back ground taking the track to a differrent territory etc.i hope youll like this 12inch as much as i do!

the final track of this release is an unusual track with at least an unusual name intelligent gum, which took a worthy area of the second side of vinyl. first of all, this track is remarkable duration of sound. despite the fact that it’s track so long lasting, but this it wants to listen again and again! it is quite hypnotic. soft as wadding and tasty as a chocolate with a delicious taste of liquor. in the course of listening you will find a lot of mystery and surprises for you, just enjoying the taste of chocolate with liquor.

energy loaded raw techno anthems. kawl them bombs! next installment of the killer kawl series by lee holman brings four menacing tracks of dark edgytechno. kawl 4.0 opens the ep with a looping percussion piece which builds and builds with concussive intent. 4.1 continues with a solid groove, rasping synth stabs and a grotty industrial technoid bassline to devestating effect. kawl 4.2 takes a different route and rhythmically changes direction back and forth, intensifying with precision as the track meanders through to conclusion. the final track of the ep is 4.3, a deeper affair with bursts of white noise, a murky bassline and an emotive hypnotic lead line captivating its way to stunning completion.
